• Issuance of STCW, National & Ring-fenced Certificates

• Seafarers applying for an Initial Issue or Renewal of a Maritime NZ STCW or STCW-F medical certificate must see a Maritime NZ Approved Medical Practitioner (AMP)

Initial Issue:

• Seafarers applying for initial issue of Medical Certificate for Deck Duties must see a Registered Optometrist and complete the eyesight report PRIOR to their medical assessment

  • Maritime Eyesight Test Report Form

• The NZ Maritime STCW Medical Certificate is acceptable for use as equivalent to the MCA ENG1

• It has been assessed as meeting international requirements and can be used on UK ships in place of the ENG1 medical

• Our clinic is accredited to conduct Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Medical Assessments for:

  • Seafarers seeking an AMSA Certificate of Recognition (CoR) under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Arrangement (TTMRA) and

  • AMSA medical examinations undertaken for the purposes of revalidation.

• AMSA Medical Certification is conducted in conjunction with Sonic Health Plus (Australia)
